Alona Beach
Alona Beach is a small stretch of tropical paradise on Panglao Island, Bohol in the Philippines. It is quickly becoming one of the top travel destinations in the Philippines because of it's wonderful white sand beach, world class diving and beautiful blue waters.

The Beach
The beach at Alona Beach is a beautiful one and a half kilometer stretch of white sand bordered on both ends by two rock walls. You can walk from one end to the other in 10-15 minutes. It's a great walk! You will pass by all sorts of restaurants where you can stop in for a cold beer or soda and just enjoy sitting right next to the ocean.
Things to Do in Alona Beach
In Alona Beach, everything revolves around the beach! There are plenty of beach-side restaurants to stop in for a cold drink and just enjoy relaxing on a beautiful beach.
1. Diving and Snorkeling
Alona Beach is known as a world-class dive destination. In fact, the first thing you will notice about the place is all the dive boats! There are dozens of them always docked in the water, waiting to take divers/snorkelers out for some underwater adventure!
About 100 meters out is the house reef which is a great place to see the marine life.
Be sure to check out Balicasag and Pamilacan islands for amazing diving and snorkeling. You will need to hire a dive boat, but there are plenty around.
2. Relaxing
Alona Beach is a great place to just sit back and relax. Sitting on the beach, drinking a cold beer, watching the sun go down...
Be sure to to get a massage while you are here. They are cheap and you can have them right on the beach!
