Magellan's Cross
A Christian cross planted by Spaniards back in the year 1521 when Ferdinand Magellan arrived in Cebu.
You can find this cross in a chapel next to Basilica Minore de Sto. Nino on Magallanes Street, in front of the Cebu City Hall.
Believed that the cross possesses miraculous powers, they protected the original cross inside the chapel to keep people from chipping parts of the cross as souvenir, but some people belives that the original cross was already destroyed right after Magellan's death and that what is inside the chapel is just a replica placed by Spaniards after they colonized Philippines.
Whether stories are true or not, tourists always make it a point to visit this chapel to see the famous Magellan's Cross.
